Family Engagement Policy

Pearl-Cohn High School recognizes the critical role that meaningful family and community engagement plays at both the school and district levels. Parents and community members are valued partners and key stakeholders in supporting all students as they develop the academic knowledge and life skills necessary for success beyond high school. Through collaborative efforts, stakeholders work together to develop and support the Pearl-Cohn Entertainment High School Family and Community Engagement Policy in service of our school community.

The Pearl-Cohn High School Family Engagement Policy is developed with meaningful input from parents, community members, and school personnel. This policy aligns with and fulfills all state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure transparency, shared accountability, and inclusive participation.

To support ongoing engagement and communication, Pearl-Cohn High School hosts quarterly parent and family meetings focused on student academic data, assessment results, and school designation status. These meetings provide families with timely, accurate information and meaningful opportunities to participate in planning, decision-making, and implementation efforts that promote continuous student growth and achievement.

Pearl-Cohn Entertainment High School, Parents, and Community Partners will:

  • Conduct an annual evaluation of the content and effectiveness of the policy.
  • Evaluate the level of participation by stakeholders.
  • Identify barriers to involvement.
  • Provide access to a variety of parent involvement opportunities to remove barriers that would prevent participation.
