Dress Code
Permitted
- Firebirds may wear shirts with short or long sleeves that are predominantly in Pearl-Cohn P.R.I.D.E. colors (red, black, white and gray).
- All tops, blouses and shirts must cover the shoulder and minimize over-exposure of skin.
- Firebirds may wear any Pearl-Cohn High School approved “Spirit Wear” shirts.
- Firebirds may wear red, black, white, khaki, grey and/or denim-colored shorts, pants, capri pants, skirts, skorts, dresses or jumpers.
- All shorts, pants, capri pants, skirts, skorts, dresses and/or jumpers must be school appropriate.
- Firebirds may wear a hoodie or jacket with school appropriate language and/or message.
- Firebirds may wear a blazer, cardigan, jacket, sweater or vest that may be worn over an appropriate colored SSA top.
- Firebirds wear their shorts, pants, capri pants, skirts and/or skorts at waistline.
Not Permitted
- Firebirds may not wear tops that are sheer, mesh, mid-length or maximally cropped.
- Firebirds may not wear bottoms that are sheer, mesh or with excessive holes.
- Firebirds may not wear sleepwear during the school day.
- Firebirds may not wear any type of head covering (including ski masks, beanies, hats, caps and etc.) except those worn for religious purposes.
- Firebirds may not wear clothing or jewelry that displays drugs, alcohol, tobacco products or gang-related words or images.
Any Firebirds needing support with attaining SSA should submit a collaborative referral to their grade-level counselor.
