Back to School

Welcome to Pearl-Cohn!

We are excited to see each member of Firebird Nation! Below you will find some helpful information concerning the first days of school and the full school year. For further details on our policies, please review the Student Handbook received during enrollment.

When is the first day of school?

The first day of the 2025-26 school year will be Tuesday, August 5 — a half day.

What does a normal day at PCHS look like?

Students follow a seven-period schedule for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Each class will last approximately 50 minutes.  Wednesday and Thursday's classes will be 83 minutes. This allows students more time to participate in labs and work closely with teachers.

What if I can’t find the classroom on my schedule?

We’re here to help! We have Firebird Faculty/Staff on post during each transition to assist in getting to class on time.

How do I find out which MNPS bus I ride?

You can find your Metro Nashville Public School bus stop and route number using the Find My Bus Stop online tool.

How do I get a student ID?

All student IDs are distributed via our school librarian. If a student has lost their ID, they should contact our librarian in order to request a replacement.

Can students leave campus for lunch or order food to be delivered?

Pearl-Cohn is a closed campus. For the safety of our school community, students may not leave campus to purchase food or have food delivered to campus.
